What Does "Yandere" Mean?Edit

Yandere (ヤンデレ) is a portmanteau of two Japanese words yanderu (病んでる), meaning to be sick, and deredere (デレデレ), which is defined as strongly and deeply exhausted, infatuated, moonstruck, head-over-heels, or lovestruck, but in this case used for "lovestruck."

Info-chan is a "mysterious" student at Akademi High. She knows everything about the people in the school, such as their clubs and their crushes. While it's unknown why she's helping Yandere-chan, she makes it clear that she will provide whatever service is needed for her quest to obtain Senpai's affections.

Personality Edit

Info-chan appears to be somewhat perverted due to her lewd "past time", although she might just be doing this just to get some money and such from the actual lecherous students of Akademi High, who get her pictures for seemingly almost specifically lustful reasons. Her panty shot system is in both the first and second intro, so she may be perverted and/or pragmatic in both said intros.

Info-chan in the first intro is also curious, glory-seeking, and dedicated. She is curious because finding out secrets is a hobby of hers and not just for her job. Glory-seeking because she wants her newspaper to become really popular, and will not just settle for adequate. If she settled for adequate then she wouldn't resort to asking Yandere-chan to kill others for her newspaper; she would've done something else entirely and not have gone to the extreme with a total stranger. Info-chan is also dedicated to her work and apparently poured her heart and soul into writing her newspaper last year. This form of her character is absent entirely from the next intro.

In the second intro she seems fairly vengeful. She wanted Osana, specifically Osana, to get hurt in some awful way. If she was just mean-spirited then she would've picked anyone. It's possible that she just chose someone at random to be her target because she just couldn't decide, but that's unlikely considering the fact that the dev states that the reason for Info-chan wanting to hurt Osana is a serious spoiler.

Info-chan must have some sort of moral code. In both openings she accuses Yandere-chan of being a stalker, no matter what the reasons.

She must not care for people much in both intros. In the first one she's fine with getting some of them killed or hurt in any way, just not all of them. She didn't tell Yandere-chan not to kill all of them from the kindness of her heart, but so that there'll still be people to read her newspaper. The second opening has her setting up a sociopath against a girl who simply has a crush on the wrong guy. Info-chan presumably doesn't care about the other rivals out there because Info-chan is apparently supposed to give more info on some of the rivals as the story goes on.

Yandere and Info chanEdit

In the second intro, she does not give a reason, but just tells Yandere-chan that she would be happy if something bad happened to Osana Najimi, Senpai's tsundere childhood friend that made an appearance in the first intro. Info-chan wishes that Yandere-chan makes her suffer. The game no longer hints at Info-chan being the writer of the school newspaper. It also should be noted that Yandere-chan was, in this new opening, a bad person who simply seemed to be in love with love because she speaks nothing about Senpai's personality and just about how she craves the way he makes her feel. Therefore, Info-chan did not coax Yandere-chan into being her murderous self. Yandere-chan already had thoughts about that and only got more encouragement, not a new idea.
